Pongal Carnival @ Vaels

The Harvest festival Pongal was celebrated at Vaels International School on Saturday , the 11th of January 2020 with much Zeal and enthusiasm and the air was filled with joy and festivity .  The Pongal celebrations started with invocation to the Almighty followed by Thamizh Thai Vazhthu. Our students celebrated Pongal in a traditional way  by preparing ‘Pongal’ in mud pot with all religious traits .The Department of Tamil organized a plethora of programmes for the entertainment of the students.

Educational tour to Dakshina Chitra

Field Trip to Shuttles and Needles studio

Fashion Designing students of grades IX and XI attended a workshop on weaving and felting at Shuttles and Needles studio, Adyar on 13 December 2019 Students had a glimpse into processes of blending fibres, spinning yarns, trying their hand at different types of looms as well as making a wet felting sample of their own. The experience helps the students relate to theoretical concepts of fabric construction techniques and get a hands on feel of fibre, yarn and fabric types and textures.

Class minds – Spell Bee

Model spell bee contest conducted by the spell bee champion twins Master .Harpith and Miss. Harpitha. The winners of round 2 were awarded with badges of appreciation. The top three winners were awarded with Class-mind spell bee pouches.
